What Customers Say About Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare:

Beyond that though, there's not much in common between Call of Duty 4 on consoles/PC and it's handheld little brother on the DS."Dang it, I didn't double tap." What is the most common phrase you'll use while playing this game. Some sections of the game seem to feature multiple deaths and considering the game's not very portable, this poses a problem. It does a good job of holding it's own and being a fun game on the DS, just not one I'd pick & play anytime soon. Not only do the guns and explosions sound more realistic, but you can actually hear you're character breathing hard after running and after being shot. As a handheld game, it should feature short levels and multiple checkpoints to save at. Apparently bomb defusal is as simple as tracing the wires from one end to the other.

Factor in the complete inaccuracy of the crosshairs, you'll spend all you're time trying to get headshots while aiming down the sights. Despite the combat being very repetitive and slow, I really found myself enjoying playing through most of the game. The levels aren't terribly long, but since you can't save anywhere or even at checkpoints, you'll have to play a level in one sitting or start over. It's an annoying enough occurrence while simply playing the game, but a downright pain when being shot at.That's not the game's only fault, just the biggest. I now feel completely prepared to dis-arm a bomb if need be because of this game.

Unlike on it's big brother, the enemies take way too many bullets to kill. They both have you killing a hell of a lot of terrorists with automatic weapons. When played through headphones, there is so much more sound there. They both have you alternating missions between different factions. Who knew. Not all is bad though. Well not that much different than the console/PC iteration, the extra time it takes to get into the sights and aim makes dieing a very real possibility when faced with multiple enemies, especially if they're on either side of the screen. Out the gate, most people had to be skeptical of a DS version of CoD4. You know how on the console/PC, when you want to place a charge you just walk up to where you place it and press the action button.

They both end at a bridge. The C-130 mission in particular was a blast to play through on the DS, if not a little hard to tell you're soldiers from the enemies. Not surprisingly, IGN gave the sound the best score for this game. n-Space did a fantastic job with the audio, but Nintendo failed with the speakers. I know with headphones on everything is going to sound better, but it's like two completely different games and headphones go a long way to making the experience more enjoyable.I don't think anybody expected this game to live up to it's big brother. Not on this version. Whereas if this had been an original game, people would've been more excited to see another FPS on DS. Double-tapping the screen brings up the sights on your weapon, but all too often after double-tapping, you'll tap again to aim and it'll go back to the crosshairs; or you'll just want to turn and end up double-tapping into the sights. Wi-Fi wouldn't hurt either.

I had the DS in sleep mode for the past week to finish this game.Being a DS game, it wouldn't be complete without some completely useless touch-screen based mini-games for things that don't need it. Instead, you must make an electrical current match up to various points by rotating tiles so the electricity flows to all the ends. This game was made because it was a Call of Duty 4 tie-in, but I think it would've gotten more attention as a new franchise. I will say from what I played of Brothers in Arms DS & this, this was a better game.

I love being in the chopper on a minigun and flying around in an AC-130 Spectre gunship. I love this game. This game has got to be one of the best if not the best game to get on ds. The fighting on the ground is intense. I would reccomend this game to anyone who likes first person shooter or just like blowing things up.

It plays alright, for being a hand-held fps, but when a game as good as CoD4 is restricted by a system like the DS, it kinda just ruins the fun. When I saw that CoD4 was coming out for the DS, I thought it was pretty funny. My roommate plays CoD4 for the 360 about 4-8 hours a day, and so I decided to pick this up out of curiosity as to how a game like CoD4 could play on the DS. I played the game for a couple of hours and then got bored with it and it's been sitting in my cartridge holder since then (months). It's not bad, but if you've played CoD4 on a real system, you'll be disappointed with it's little brother on the DS.

The levels are well thought out, it is very realistic, and the controls are great.First off: controls. But I don't understand why everyone thinks that graphics make the game, because the graphics don't hinder this game AT ALL.Replay value: Personally, I would play this over and over and over. This is my second game for my week and a half old Nintendo DS. The stylus, D-pad, and left trigger are all you need. The lack of Wi-Fi multiplayer is annoying, but tolerable.Overall, Call of Duty 4 for DS is a great game that I would highly recommend. The controls are intuitive and extremely easy to pick up. The graphics look like something you would see in a flash game off the Internet.

Being able to fight against or alongside your friends is incredible fun. I love it. And over. My friend played it and beat a level on hard the first time, and I hadn't told him how to play. It is very easyGraphics: I expected better graphics. Doing the campaign again on a harder level is fun. You won't be able to stop.

i thought that COD4 was a very good game. i never thought an FPS would on the DS. 3.

1. the graphics were nice to look at. there are a few reasons why i think it could have been better.

i think the ending could have been better. im a lefty so i am not able to move and look around at the same time 2. it was a little bit to short.i beat it in only three gaming sessions.

but most of all this actually works on the DS. so,if you dont have an XBox 360 or a playstation 3 and you have a Ds, get this game.
